The story of

Boost Your Bowl

Launched in 2013, the brand as originally named ‘Wholeplus’, was created as a project on the side of my plant-based food blog, to address the gap in the market for healthy plant-based energy and protein based snacks.

Having made the switch to a plant-based diet a year before, training as a health coach and feeling passionate about the power of plant based foods and healthy treats to change your life in both body and mind, I launched a range of porridge blends called Hotpots, sprinkle Toppers, energy Squares and protein Shots.

Over time, the range evolved - I increased the flavour range and reduced the product type to feature the Toppers and Toppers Porridge Blends only. I then rebranded and relaunched the range in January 2020 as Boost Your Bowl.

Every part of the process was my own creation.

The branding, logo design, website design, food photography, packaging design, recipe development, labelling, marketing, product manufacturing and fulfilment… It was a huge labour of love, and with no prior experience I learned a huge amount along the way.

I am so proud of what I created.

In March 2020, the pandemic hit and my lifestyle shifted…

I converted a white transit van into an off-grid camper van, my tiny home on wheels and took to the road (you can follow my vanlife journey here).

By then much of my work was in website design and copy creation so I could work remotely, but this meant I was struggling with the logistics of manufacturing physical products alongside.

In January 2022 I took the difficult decision to ‘press pause’ on all production of Boost Your Bowl products, reduce the website to this landing page only and wait to see what the future has in store.

I really hope to bring the Toppers back to your breakfast bowls in the future, if I can work alongside a business partner and manufacture/fulfilment centre. I still love them so much, as so did so many customers, and being the porridge lover I am I still make my breakfast with them most days.

Over the years I have found myself coming back to the mantra “trust the process”. It serves as a powerful reminded to stay curious and open minded to possibility in so many aspects of my life. I see it here too.

Whilst Boost Your Bowl may not currently be active, the philosophy is still alive and well!
