So you’re ready to do things a little differently?

Hey, I’m Jo

Quietly unconventional creative designer and coach for multi-passionate peeps who just need to do life (and biz) a little different to the norm.

Welcome to my little corner of the Internet - a place where quietly unconventional, multi-passionate souls like you can embrace life and business on their own terms. I’m a creative designer and coach for people who don’t quite fit into society’s neat little boxes.

If that sounds like you too, you’re in the right place!

Whether you’re neurodivergent (hello, fellow ADHDer here!) or just feel pulled in a million directions by your passions and ideas, I see you.  Maybe you’ve struggled to give yourself permission to pursue all the things you love because the world tells you to focus on just one. But deep down, you know that you’re not a “one thing” person—and that’s exactly what makes you unique.

Guess what?

You’re not alone, and I’m here to tell you - you can be ALL of who you are and still be wildly successful.

My Journey to Creating a Life on My Own Terms

Everything I’ve just shared could easily have been written to my past self. Fifteen years ago, I was trying so hard to fit into the conventional world, unaware that there was another way.

I was a chronic people pleaser, afraid to express my true self. I thought I had to pick one thing, one path—or else I’d be seen as unfocused or “diluting my skills.” I dreaded being asked, “So, what do you do?” because I didn’t have a neat, simple answer.

Over time, I learned that having multiple passions doesn’t dilute your skills—it’s your secret sauce.

When you embrace your different skills and interests, they come together to form something completely unique. That’s what helps you stand out from the crowd, and it’s what I want to help you embrace.

My path has been anything but conventional. In 2012, after spending over eight years in a career that no longer felt aligned, I took a huge leap and left my job as an architect. From there, I dived into a whirlwind of creativity—starting a plant-based recipe blog, becoming a certified health coach, and even teaching fitness classes. I didn’t have a clear direction, but I was chasing what lit me up.

That passion led me to launch a health food business, Boost Your Bowl, which I ran alongside the blogging and coaching. I designed everything myself—recipe development, branding, food photography, packaging—and realised I loved the process of creating all the parts. But I also had a lot of plates spinning, and as my business grew, I felt the weight of trying to keep it all going. It was a chaotic few years of balancing design work, coaching, and running the food brand, all while feeling overwhelmed by the lack of structure.

Around this time in 2016, I started working with a business coach and dove deep into personal development, even training as a Firewalking Instructor (yes, there were plenty of other ADHD-inspired side quests along the way!)

Eventually, I decided to shift my focus more fully towards design work, building on the creative skills I’d developed in my architecture days and had long been exploring in my blog and heath food brand.

Even though I still loved Boost Your Bowl, I knew running a food business on my own wasn’t sustainable for me. I thrived in creative direction, but the business side felt draining. Then, lockdown hit. It was a time of reflection and change and also my ADHD diagnosis. It was during that pause, I decided to close the food brand and fully commit to taking my work online.

During that time in 2020, I also took on the challenge of self-building my camper van, a project that would symbolise my transition into truly living life on my own terms.

Since completing my van build, I’ve embraced life as a full-time nomad, travelling across the UK and Europe while working remotely with clients. Along the way, I’ve refined my business to focus on helping other multi-passionate, unconventional entrepreneurs in the wellness space, create authentic, life-first businesses aligned with their core values… just like I did.

Owning Your Unconventional Journey

I know this all might sound brave and inspiring from the outside, but here’s the truth: it was messy. With countless moments of doubt, overwhelm, and the fear of not having it all figured out. There were many times when I felt lost, unsure of where I was headed, and wrestling with uncertainty. It wasn’t a smooth journey, and there were plenty of stumbles along the way and I am sure there are plenty more still to come.

But here’s what I’ve learned: it’s through the messy that we find the magic.

When you’re in that space of transition, not knowing exactly who you are or where you’re going, it can feel terrifying. And if you’re going through that alone, it’s even harder.

I’m here to hold space for you to be your full, authentic self, even when things feel messy. To remind you of your power, your potential, and to help you build a life and wellness business that honours all of who you are.

You can embrace the unconventional, the multi-passionate, and the beautifully complex parts of yourself in how you share your work with the world, and I’m here to help you do just that.
