'Spotlight' Interview:

1- What first drew you to study with IIN?

When I found out about the field of health coaching I just knew I have found ‘it’: my calling, my purpose. With a psychology, social research and education background I already had a long found interest in and passion for helping others. Suffering with and healing from chronic headaches and working through various emotional trauma and drama due to a history of abuse and family of dysfunction I became absolutely passionate about holistic health. I absolutely knew from the first moment on that becoming a holistic health coach would allow me to combine my passions for psychology, holistic health, whole foods nutrition, listening to others, helping others, writing, inspiring and actively taking part in creating a better, healthier and happier planet. I choose IIN because of its inspiring energy, the online format and because its values truly resonated with my heart.

2- How has your life changed since becoming a health coaching student?

Wow, my life has changed on so many levels since becoming a health coaching student. Other than improving my health and feeling happier and more balanced than ever, I became part of an amazing, inspiring community and made amazing friendships. I created my website, created an amazing recipe book that includes 155 recipes by 156 health coaches, and started working with clients.

3- What do you hope to take away into the world and how do you plan to help others once you graduate?

Besides being trained as a holistic health coach at IIN, I also trained as a life coach, have a Bachelors in Psychology, a Masters in Educational Sciences and Children’s Rights, and a certificate in teaching. Moreover, for my personal healing and life journey I have been involved with all forms of healing modalities and self-development tools. I have improved my diet, lifestyle and outlook in life immensely.

The main thing I discovered is that it is not one things or another but a combination of many things. You can’t just improve your diet and ignore your mind. You also can’t simply focus on your emotions while living on junk food. It is a mixture of everything. There is not a right recipe that works for all. Everyone has to discover what works for them. I truly believe that the answer is always within the person. As a coach, I provide a safe space for my clients to open up, I ask powerful questions and listen with undivided attention to empower them to find their answers. I follow and support their journey by providing the one and most important thing, unconditional love, along with personal attention, inspiration and understanding.

The world is full of chronic physical and emotional pain. I want to help to transform this into a chronic case of health and happiness. Primary, I work with women who experience chronic physical and/or emotional pain possibly as result of experience of being abused (any form of abuse: physical, emotional, sexual, neglect, bullying or a combination) or other emotional trauma-drama. I also work with women who simply have no idea why they are experiencing chronic physical and/or emotional pain. However, I am happy to work with anyone who is serious about creating true health and happiness in their lives.

4- Being a ‘wellness crusader’ what one thing would you wish to change about the world?

There is too much chronic emotional pain and chronic physical pain on this world. My goal is to change this state and transform the life of others by guiding them to create a chronic health and happiness instead. Health, happiness and love is what we need.

5- What would you choose for your 'final meal on earth’?

Green juice, a huge colorful salad with pretty much every single vegetable possible and dark chocolate sorbet from a particular gelateria in Rome.
